More Than a Job
Growing up in Mid-City Los Angeles, Fernanda Aguilar never expected to find herself working at a hibachi stand. A friend introduced her to 323 Hibachi, and two years later she remains part of the team serving customers in Hawthorne.
The business operates in both Hawthorne and Mid-City, serving favorites such as steak, chicken fried rice, and vegetables. According to Fernanda, the most popular orders are the steak and chicken fried rice combinations.
When asked what she enjoys most about the job, her answer was immediate: the people. Whether it's regular customers or first-time visitors, the interactions are what keep the work interesting.
Like many vendors, the team faces challenges during busy periods. Long lines and limited parking can make nights hectic, but Fernanda continues showing up with the same positive attitude that first drew her to the job.
For Fernanda, 323 Hibachi is more than a place to work. It's a place where food, community, and conversation come together every day.
Introduced to 323 Hibachi by a friend, Fernanda found a workplace built around community, conversation, and long nights serving customers.
