For Monica, street vending is both a business opportunity and a way to connect with people in her community.

For the past year, she has sold bread and jugo de maguey, an agave-based drink that has become the most popular item at her stand. While many customers stop by for the products themselves, Monica enjoys sharing what she knows about the drink and the benefits she believes it can provide.

Like many small business owners, Monica was motivated by the opportunity to earn an income and create something of her own. Over time, she has worked to build relationships with customers and encourage them to return.

When asked about the biggest challenge of the business, Monica pointed to customer retention. Attracting first-time customers is important, but turning them into regulars takes time and consistency.

Despite those challenges, she remains optimistic. Through her products and conversations with customers, Monica hopes to continue growing her business while helping others discover something new.

Through bread and agave juice, Monica hopes to build a business while sharing products she believes can help others.
