Serving Wilmington, One Taco at a Time

Four years ago, the team behind Tacos Los 3 Juanes started the business out of necessity. Like many small businesses, it began as a way to earn additional income and create new opportunities.

Today, the stand serves customers in Wilmington every weekend, building a loyal following through its food and customer service.

When I spoke with Amy, she highlighted one of the things she enjoys most about the job: meeting people. Every night brings customers from different backgrounds, creating conversations and connections that make the work rewarding.

Among the stand's most popular menu items is cabeza, a traditional taco meat that has become a favorite among regular customers. Amy hopes customers continue trying new foods and stepping outside their comfort zones when visiting the stand.

Behind the scenes, however, operating a street food business requires more than simply serving food. Organization, preparation, and navigating city permits can all present challenges for vendors trying to grow their businesses.

Despite those obstacles, Tacos Los 3 Juanes continues serving the community and introducing customers to new flavors one taco at a time.

What began as a way to earn extra income has grown into a business serving customers across Wilmington for the past four years.
