Serving More Than Tacos
When I met Alexis, he was in the middle of cooking. Orders were coming in, customers were waiting, and there was plenty to do. Even so, he stepped away from the grill for a few minutes to talk about Tacos Naomi's.
For the past ten years, the business has served customers throughout the community, building a loyal following along the way. According to Alexis, many customers return regularly, creating the kind of relationships that keep the business going year after year.
Among the most popular menu items are the stand's potatoes and carne, favorites that continue to draw both new and returning customers.
When asked what he enjoys most about the work, Alexis didn't talk about the food first. Instead, he spoke about the people. Serving customers and seeing familiar faces return is what makes the long hours worthwhile.
Of course, the job comes with challenges. After a full shift, one of the most difficult parts is packing everything up and preparing to do it all again the next day.
Even during one of the busiest moments of the night, Alexis made time for a conversation. That small gesture reflected the same customer-focused attitude that has helped Tacos Naomi's remain part of the community for so many years.
Even during the dinner rush, Alexis took time away from the grill to talk about the customers who have supported Tacos Naomi's for the past decade.
